Cheesy Baked Mac and Beef Casserole
Ingredients:
12 oz elbow macaroni
1 lb ground beef
1 small onion, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp smoked paprika
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
2 tbsp butter
2 tbsp all-purpose flour
2 cups milk
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 tsp mustard powder
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a baking dish. Cook macaroni according to package instructions until al dente, then drain and set aside. In a skillet, cook ground beef over medium heat until browned. Add diced onion, garlic, salt, black pepper, and smoked paprika. Cook for another 2 minutes, then set aside. In a saucepan, melt butter, add flour, and whisk for 1 minute. Gradually add milk and heavy cream, stirring until thickened. Mix in mustard powder and Parmesan cheese. Remove from heat and stir in half of the cheddar and mozzarella cheese. Combine the cooked macaroni, cheese sauce, and beef mixture. Transfer to the baking dish and top with remaining cheese. Bake for 25 minutes until golden and bubbly. Let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy!
