Description

Cream-Filled Donuts
Ingredients:

2 ½ cups (310 g) all-purpose flour

2 tbsp sugar

1 tsp salt

1 packet (7 g) instant yeast

1 cup (240 ml) warm milk

2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted

1 large egg

For the Filling:

1 cup (240 ml) heavy whipping cream

3 tbsp powdered sugar

1 tsp vanilla extract

For Frying and Garnish:

Vegetable oil for frying

Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions:

1. Prepare the Dough:

In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, salt, and yeast. Add warm milk, melted butter, and egg. Knead until smooth.

Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.

2. Shape the Donuts:

Roll out the dough on a floured surface to ½ inch (1.2 cm) thickness. Use a round cutter to shape the donuts. Let them rest for 15-20 minutes.

3. Fry the Donuts:

Heat oil in a deep pan to 350°F (175°C). Fry the donuts until golden brown on each side. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to cool.

4. Prepare the Filling:

Beat heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form. Transfer to a piping bag.

5. Fill the Donuts:

Make a small slit on the side of each donut and pipe the cream filling inside.

6. Garnish:

Dust the donuts with powdered sugar and serve fresh.
