Surf and Turf Tacos
Ingredients:
300g beef steak (ribeye or sirloin), sliced thinly
200g shrimp, peeled and deveined
8 small tortillas
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp chili powder
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp paprika
Salt and black pepper, to taste
Fresh cilantro, chopped (for garnish)
For the sauce:
1/2 cup sour cream
1 tbsp lime juice
1 tsp hot sauce (optional)
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Seasoning:
Mix chili powder, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Season the steak slices and shrimp with the spice blend.
2. Cook the Steak:
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the steak slices and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until seared and cooked to your liking. Remove and set aside.
3. Cook the Shrimp:
In the same skillet, cook the shrimp for 2-3 minutes until pink and fully cooked.
4. Warm the Tortillas:
Heat the tortillas in a dry pan or microwave for a few seconds until warm.
5. Assemble the Tacos:
Place shredded cheddar cheese on each tortilla, add slices of steak and shrimp. Garnish with fresh cilantro.
6. Prepare the Sauce:
Mix sour cream, lime juice, and hot sauce in a small bowl. Drizzle over the tacos or serve on the side.
