Cheese-Stuffed Croissants Recipe

Ingredients:

1 sheet puff pastry, thawed

1 cup shredded mozzarella or Gruyère cheese

1 egg, beaten

2 tbsp sugar (optional for a sweet touch)

1 tbsp butter, melted

Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions:

1. Preheat the Oven:
Set your oven to 200°C (400°F) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.

2. Prepare the Puff Pastry:
Roll out the puff pastry sheet and cut it into triangles.

3. Add the Cheese:
Place a generous amount of shredded cheese at the wide end of each triangle. Roll tightly towards the tip to form a croissant shape.

4. Brush with Egg:
Arrange the croissants on the baking tray, seam-side down. Brush each one with beaten egg for a golden crust.

5. Optional Sweet Touch:
Sprinkle a bit of sugar on top for a sweet-salty flavor contrast, if desired.

6. Bake:
Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed.

7. Garnish and Serve:
Brush with melted butter and sprinkle with fresh parsley for an elegant finish. Serve warm and enjoy!
