Ham and Cheese Puff Pastry Pockets

Ingredients:

1 sheet puff pastry, thawed

4 slices ham

4 slices cheese (cheddar, Swiss, or your choice)

1 egg, beaten

1 tbsp breadcrumbs (optional)

Fresh thyme or parsley for garnish

Instructions:

1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

2. Roll out the puff pastry sheet and cut it into 4 equal squares.

3. Place a slice of ham and cheese on each square. Fold the pastry over to form a triangle or rectangle and seal the edges with a fork.

4. Brush the tops with beaten egg and sprinkle breadcrumbs for extra crunch (if desired).

5. Place on a baking tray lined with parchment paper and bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden and puffed.

6. Garnish with fresh thyme or parsley and serve warm.
