Cheesy Potato and Green Bean Casserole
A Creamy, Cheesy Potato and Green Bean Casserole for the Perfect Side Dish
Ingredients:
4 cups potatoes, peeled and diced
2 cups green beans, trimmed (fresh or frozen)
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
1/2 cup milk
1 teaspoon garlic powder
Salt and black pepper to taste
Directions:
1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a baking dish.
2. In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook the potatoes for 10-12 minutes, or until just tender. Add the green beans during the last 3 minutes of cooking. Drain and set aside.
3. In a mixing bowl, combine the cream of mushroom soup, milk, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
4. Layer the potatoes and green beans in the prepared baking dish. Pour the soup mixture evenly over the top.
5. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella and cheddar cheeses evenly over the casserole.
6. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
7. Remove from the oven and let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.
