Classic Lasagna
Ingredients:
12 lasagna sheets
500g ground beef
1 medium onion, diced
3 garlic cloves, minced
2 cups tomato sauce
2 tbsp tomato paste
1 tsp dried oregano
1 tsp dried basil
Salt and pepper to taste
2 cups ricotta cheese
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 egg
2 tbsp olive oil
Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions:
1. Prepare the Meat Sauce: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add diced onion and garlic, sauté until translucent. Add ground beef and cook until browned. Stir in tomato sauce, tomato paste, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 20 minutes.
2. Prepare the Cheese Mixture: In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese, 1 cup mozzarella, Parmesan, and the egg. Stir until well combined.
3. Cook the Lasagna Sheets: Cook lasagna sheets in boiling salted water for 8-10 minutes, or until al dente. Drain and set aside.
4. Assemble the Lasagna: Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F). In a baking dish, spread a thin layer of meat sauce on the bottom. Layer lasagna sheets, followed by the cheese mixture, meat sauce, and repeat. Top with remaining mozzarella cheese.
5. Bake: Cover the dish with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for another 15 minutes or until the top is golden and bubbly.
6. Serve: Let the lasagna rest for 10 minutes before slicing. Garnish with fresh parsley and enjoy!
