Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars
Ingredients:
1 cup unsalted butter, melted
1 cup brown sugar, packed
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
2 tsp vanilla extract
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions:
1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a 9×13-inch baking dish with parchment paper.
2. Mix the Wet Ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, and mix well.
3. Combine the Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
4. Add Chocolate Chips: Fold in 1 1/2 cups of the chocolate chips, reserving the rest for topping.
5. Prepare the Batter: Spread the cookie dough evenly into the prepared baking dish. Sprinkle the reserved chocolate chips on top.
6. Bake: Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the edges are golden brown and the center is set.
7. Cool and Serve: Allow the bars to cool completely in the pan before slicing into squares.
