Classic Cinnamon Rolls Recipe
Ingredients:
Dough:
3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 cup sugar
1 packet (7g) instant yeast
1 tsp salt
1 cup warm milk
1/4 cup melted butter
1 egg
Filling:
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 tbsp ground cinnamon
1/4 cup softened butter
Glaze:
1 cup powdered sugar
2 tbsp milk
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Steps:
1. Prepare the dough:
In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, yeast, and salt.
Add warm milk, melted butter, and egg. Mix until a soft dough forms.
Knead for 5-7 minutes, then cover and let rise for 1 hour or until doubled.
2. Make the filling:
Combine brown sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl.
3. Assemble the rolls:
Roll out the dough into a rectangle. Spread softened butter over the surface.
Sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture evenly. Roll tightly and cut into 12 equal pieces.
4. Bake:
Place rolls in a greased baking dish, cover, and let rise for 30 minutes.
Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F) and bake for 20-25 minutes.
5. Prepare the glaze:
Mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth.
6. Serve:
Drizzle glaze over warm rolls before serving.
