Classic Beef Lasagna
Ingredients:
12 lasagna sheets
1 lb ground beef
1 medium onion, diced
3 garlic cloves, minced
2 cups marinara sauce
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon dried basil
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 cup ricotta cheese
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions:
1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Cook lasagna sheets according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
2. In a skillet, cook ground beef with diced onion and minced garlic until browned. Add marinara sauce, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes.
3. In a greased baking dish, spread a thin layer of the meat sauce. Place a layer of lasagna sheets on top. Spread a layer of ricotta cheese, meat sauce, and mozzarella cheese. Repeat the layers, ending with meat sauce on top.
4. Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese over the final layer. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is golden and bubbly.
5. Let the lasagna rest for 10 minutes before slicing. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve. Enjoy this hearty classic!
