Classic Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich

Classic Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich

Ingredients:

2 hoagie rolls or soft sub rolls

300g ribeye steak, thinly sliced

1 large onion, thinly sliced

1 tbsp butter

1 tbsp olive oil

4 slices provolone cheese

Salt & pepper to taste

Instructions:

Cook the Onions

Heat olive oil and butter in a skillet over medium heat.

Add the sliced onions and cook until golden and caramelized (about 8-10 minutes). Remove and set aside.

Cook the Steak

In the same skillet, add the thinly sliced ribeye steak.

Season with salt and pepper. Cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally until browned.

Assemble the Sandwich

Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).

Slice the hoagie rolls lengthwise and layer the steak and onions.

Place 2 slices of provolone cheese on top of each sandwich.

Melt the Cheese

Place the sandwiches in the oven for 5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted.

Serve
