These golden, crispy, cheesy tacos are packed with savory beef and bursting with bold flavors. Serve them with a zesty salsa and lime wedges for a complete taco experience!
Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef
1 small onion, finely diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 packet taco seasoning
1/4 cup water
1 1/2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar or Mexican blend)
8 small corn tortillas
2 tbsp vegetable oil
Cilantro, chopped, for garnish
Optional toppings: diced onions, salsa, lime wedges
Instructions:
Prepare the Beef Filling:
Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it into small pieces as it cooks.
Drain any excess grease.
Add diced onions and garlic; sauté until softened.
Stir in taco seasoning and water. Cook until the liquid reduces and coats the beef evenly.
Assemble the Tacos:
Heat a griddle or large skillet over medium heat.
Lightly brush each tortilla with vegetable oil.
Sprinkle a layer of shredded cheese onto half of each tortilla. Add a generous spoonful of beef filling and fold the tortilla in half.
Cook the Tacos:
Place the tacos on the heated griddle. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, pressing gently with a spatula, until the cheese melts and the tortillas are golden and crispy.
Serve:
Garnish with chopped cilantro and diced onions.
Serve hot with salsa and lime wedges on the side.
Tips for Perfect Tacos:
Use freshly grated cheese for maximum meltiness.
Toast tortillas until they’re slightly crisp but still pliable.
Add a drizzle of hot sauce for an extra kick!
Enjoy your cheesy beef taco night!
