Ingredients

For the Dough:

1 package (2 1/4 tsp) active dry yeast
1 cup warm water (110°F/43°C)
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp sugar
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp salt
For the Filling:

1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

1/2 cup pepperoni slices

1/2 cup pizza sauce (for dipping)

For the Garlic Parmesan Crust:

2 tbsp unsalted butter

2 cloves garlic (minced)

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1/2 tsp dried oregano

1 tbsp chopped parsley

Instructions

Prepare the Dough:

In a small bowl, combine warm water, yeast, and sugar. Let sit for about 5-10 minutes until it becomes frothy.
In a large bowl, combine flour and salt. Add the yeast mixture and olive oil. Mix until dough forms.
Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth. Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
Assemble the Stuffed Bread:

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Roll the dough into a large rectangle (about 10×12 inches).
Sprinkle mozzarella cheese evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges. Layer the pepperoni slices over the cheese.
Carefully roll the dough tightly from the longer edge, like a jelly roll, pinching the edges to seal.
Place the rolled dough on a greased baking sheet, seam side down.
Prepare the Garlic Parmesan Crust:

Melt butter in a small pan over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes.
Brush the melted butter mixture over the top of the stuffed bread, then sprinkle with Parmesan cheese, oregano, and chopped parsley.
Bake the Stuffed Bread:

Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and the cheese is melted inside.
Serve:
