1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
4 tbsp unsalted butter
3 tbsp olive oil
4 garlic cloves, minced
1/4 cup white wine (optional)
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
Salt and pepper to taste
2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
Juice of 1/2 lemon
Directions
Step 1: Cook the Pasta
Boil spaghetti in salted water until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup pasta water and drain the rest.
Step 2: Sauté the Shrimp
Heat 2 tbsp olive oil and 2 tbsp butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add shrimp, salt, and pepper. Sauté for 2-3 minutes until pink. Remove and set aside.

In the same skillet, add the remaining butter and olive oil. Sauté garlic for 1 minute. Add white wine (if using) and simmer for 2 minutes.
Step 4: Combine
Toss the cooked pasta in the skillet with the garlic butter sauce, reserved pasta water, Parmesan, red pepper flakes, and lemon juice. Stir until well coated.
Step 5: Add Shrimp
