Crispy Mozzarella Bites with Marinara Dip
Ingredients
For the Mozzarella Bites:
12 mozzarella balls
1 cup breadcrumbs
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 tsp Italian seasoning
1/2 tsp garlic powder
Salt and pepper to taste
2 eggs, beaten
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
Oil for frying
For the Marinara Dip:
1 cup marinara sauce
1/2 tsp dried basil
1/4 tsp red chili flakes (optional)
Instructions
1. Prepare the Mozzarella Bites:
In a small bowl, mix breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
Coat each mozzarella ball in flour, dip into beaten eggs, then roll in the breadcrumb mixture. For extra crispiness, repeat the egg and breadcrumb coating.
Place the coated mozzarella balls on a tray and refrigerate for 20-30 minutes.
2. Fry the Bites:
Heat oil in a deep pan to 350°F (175°C). Fry the mozzarella balls in batches until golden brown and crispy. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
3. Make the Marinara Dip:
Warm marinara sauce in a small saucepan over low heat. Stir in dried basil and red chili flakes for extra flavor.
4. Serve:
Arrange the crispy mozzarella bites on a plate and serve hot with the marinara dip on the side.

Garnish with freshly chopped parsley for a pop of color and flavor!
