Buffalo Chicken Pizza
Ingredients:
For the Pizza Dough:
2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp salt
1 tsp sugar
1 packet (2 ¼ tsp) active dry yeast
¾ cup warm water
1 tbsp olive oil
For the Toppings:
1 cup cooked chicken breast, cubed
¼ cup buffalo sauce
1 cup pizza sauce
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)
Instructions:
Prepare the Dough:
In a small bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, salt, and olive oil. Gradually add the yeast mixture, mixing until a dough forms.
Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5–7 minutes until smooth and elastic. Cover and let rise for 1 hour.
Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). Place a pizza stone or baking sheet in the oven to heat up.
Prepare the Chicken:
Toss the cooked chicken cubes with buffalo sauce until evenly coated.
Assemble the Pizza:
Roll out the dough into a 12-inch circle and transfer to parchment paper.
Spread pizza sauce evenly over the dough.
Sprinkle mozzarella cheese generously over the sauce.
Top with buffalo chicken.
Bake the Pizza:
Transfer the pizza (with parchment paper) onto the preheated pizza stone or baking sheet.
Bake for 10–12 minutes until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly.
Garnish and Serve:
Sprinkle sliced green onions on top for a fresh, crunchy finish.
Slice into wedges and enjoy hot!
