Creamy Sausage Pasta

Ingredients

12 oz (340g) rotini pasta
1 lb (450g) Italian sausage, casing removed
1 tbsp olive oil
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 cup diced tomatoes (canned or fresh)
1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
Salt and pepper, to taste
Fresh basil leaves for garnish
Directions

Cook the Pasta: Boil rotini in salted water according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

Brown the Sausage: In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add Italian sausage and cook until browned, breaking it into smaller pieces. Remove and set aside.

Sauté Garlic: In the same skillet, sauté minced garlic until fragrant (about 30 seconds).

Make the Sauce: Add heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, diced tomatoes, and Italian seasoning. Simmer for 5 minutes until slightly thickened.

Combine Everything: Add cooked pasta and sausage back to the skillet. Toss to coat in the creamy sauce. Season with salt and pepper.

Garnish & Serve: Top with fresh basil leaves and serve warm!
