Surf and Turf Alfredo Pasta
Ingredients
For the Steak:
1 lb sirloin steak, cut into strips
1 tablespoon olive oil
Salt and pepper to taste
1 tablespoon butter
For the Shrimp:
1/2 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 clove garlic, minced
Pinch of salt and pepper
For the Alfredo Sauce:
4 tablespoons butter
4 cloves garlic, minced
2 cups heavy cream
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Salt and pepper to taste
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg (optional)
For the Pasta:
1 lb fettuccine pasta
Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
Step 1: Cook the Pasta
Boil fettuccine in salted water according to package instructions.
Drain and set aside.
Step 2: Sear the Steak
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
Season steak strips with salt and pepper, then sear for 3-4 minutes per side until browned.
Add butter to the skillet for extra flavor.
Remove and set aside.
Step 3: Sauté the Shrimp
In the same skillet, heat olive oil and sauté garlic until fragrant.
Add shrimp, season with salt and pepper, and cook for 2-3 minutes per side until pink.
Remove and set aside.
Step 4: Make the Alfredo Sauce
In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté garlic until aromatic.
Stir in heavy cream, bringing to a simmer.
Add Parmesan cheese and stir until melted and smooth.
Season with salt, pepper, and nutmeg (optional).
Step 5: Assemble the Dish
Toss the cooked fettuccine in the Alfredo sauce.
Plate the pasta and top with steak strips and shrimp.
Garnish with fresh parsley and a sprinkle of black pepper.
Tips
Pair with garlic bread or a side salad for a complete meal.
For extra flavor, deglaze the skillet with a splash of white wine before making the Alfredo sauce.
