Cheesy Meatball Potato Bake

Ingredients
:
500g Ground Beef or Pork

1 Egg

1/4 cup Breadcrumbs

2 Garlic Cloves (minced)

1 tsp Italian Seasoning

Salt and Pepper (to taste)

4 cups Mashed Potatoes

1 cup Marinara Sauce

1 cup Shredded Mozzarella Cheese

Fresh Parsley (chopped, for garnish)

Instructions
:
Prepare the Meatballs:
In a bowl, mix ground beef, egg, breadcrumbs, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Shape into medium-sized meatballs.

Cook the Meatballs:
Preheat a skillet over medium heat with a drizzle of oil. Sear the meatballs until browned on all sides (they don’t need to be fully cooked). Set aside.

Layer the Dish:
Spread the mashed potatoes evenly in a baking dish. Arrange the seared meatballs on top.

Add the Sauce and Cheese:
Pour marinara sauce over the meatballs. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese generously on top.

Bake to Perfection:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake the dish for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.

Garnish:
Sprinkle fresh parsley over the dish before serving.
