Crispy Fried Mozzarella Bites
“Golden, crunchy on the outside, and gooey, melty cheese on the inside—these mozzarella bites are the ultimate snack!”
Ingredients:
For the Mozzarella Bites:
12 mozzarella cheese sticks (cut into bite-sized pieces)
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 eggs, beaten
1 cup panko breadcrumbs
1/2 cup regular breadcrumbs
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp smoked paprika
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
Oil for frying
For Dipping:
1 cup marinara sauce
Instructions:
Prepare the Mozzarella Bites:
Cut mozzarella sticks into bite-sized cubes and freeze for at least 30 minutes.
Set Up Breading Stations:
In one bowl, add flour.
In a second bowl, beat eggs.
In a third bowl, mix panko, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.
Bread the Mozzarella:
Coat each cheese bite in flour, dip into the eggs, then coat with the breadcrumb mixture.
For extra crispiness, repeat the egg and breadcrumb coating.
Place coated bites back in the freezer for 15 minutes to help them hold their shape while frying.
Fry Until Golden:
Heat oil to 350°F (175°C).
Fry in batches for about 1-2 minutes until golden brown.
Drain on paper towels.
Serve & Enjoy!
Sprinkle with fresh parsley and serve hot with marinara sauce!
