4 slices of whole-grain bread
1 cup shredded mozzarella or sliced cheese
2 medium tomatoes, sliced
1/2 tsp dried oregano
Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
1 tbsp olive oil
Optional Garnish:
Fresh basil leaves
Instructions:
Prepare the Bread
Preheat your oven or toaster oven to 375°F (190°C). Arrange the bread slices on a baking sheet.
Assemble the Toppings
Place a layer of cheese on each slice of bread. Top with tomato slices. Drizzle a little olive oil over the tomatoes. Sprinkle with oregano, salt, and black pepper.
