Stuffed Pasta Shells with Ground Meat and Cheese

Ingredients:

12-14 large pasta shells

1 lb ground beef or turkey

1 cup ricotta cheese

1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

2 cups marinara sauce

1 egg

1/2 tsp garlic powder

1/2 tsp dried oregano

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh parsley
(for garnish)
Instructions:

Cook the Pasta Shells: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Cook the pasta shells according to package instructions, drain, and set aside to cool slightly.

Prepare the Filling: In a skillet, cook the ground beef or turkey over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess fat. In a bowl, mix the cooked meat with ricotta cheese, 1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, egg, garlic powder, oregano, salt, and pepper.

Stuff the Shells: Carefully stuff each pasta shell with the meat and cheese mixture. Arrange the stuffed shells in a baking dish.

Add the Sauce: Pour marinara sauce over the stuffed shells, then sprinkle the remaining mozzarella cheese on top.

Bake: Cover the dish with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.

Serve: Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.
