Ingredients:

For the Burger Patties:

1.5 lbs ground beef (80/20 lean-to-fat ratio)

1 tsp salt

½ tsp black pepper

½ tsp garlic powder

For Assembly:

6 slices cheddar cheese

3 brioche burger buns, toasted

Optional toppings: lettuce, tomato, pickles, onion

For the Sauce (Optional):

¼ cup mayonnaise

1 tbsp ketchup

1 tsp mustard

1 tsp pickle juice (optional)

Instructions:

Prepare the Burger Patties:

Divide the ground beef into 6 equal portions (about 4 oz each). Shape into thin patties slightly larger than the burger buns, as they will shrink during cooking.

Season both sides of each patty with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.
Make the Sauce (Optional):

In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, and pickle juice. Set aside for assembly.

Cook the Patties:

Heat a cast-iron skillet or grill over medium-high heat. Add the patties and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, flipping once, until browned and slightly crispy.
In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty to melt.

Toast the Buns:

While the patties cook, lightly toast the brioche buns on the skillet or grill for 1-2 minutes until golden.

Assemble the Burger:
