Ingredients

1/2 head green cabbage, thinly sliced
1/2 pound (250g) smoked sausage or kielbasa, sliced
8 ounces (225g) egg noodles
1 cup frozen peas, thawed
2 tablespoons olive oil or butter
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
Instructions

Cook the Noodles:

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook egg noodles according to package instructions.
Drain and set aside.
Cook the Sausage:

In a large skillet, heat olive oil or butter over medium heat.
Add the sliced sausage and cook until browned and slightly crispy, about 5 minutes.
Remove from the skillet and set aside.
Sauté the Cabbage:

In the same skillet, add the sliced cabbage.
Sauté over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until it softens and begins to caramelize, about 10-12 minutes.
Add Garlic and Seasonings:

Add minced garlic, paprika, red pepper flakes (if using), salt, and pepper to the cabbage.
Stir well and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes.
Combine Everything:

Add the cooked noodles, browned sausage, and thawed peas to the skillet.
Toss everything together until evenly mixed and heated through.
Serve and Enjoy:

Transfer to a serving dish, garnish with freshly ground black pepper or parsley, and serve warm.
