Cheesy Chicken Broccoli Pasta Bake
Ingredients
12 oz penne pasta
2 cups cooked chicken breast, diced
2 cups broccoli florets (blanched)
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
2 tbsp butter
2 tbsp all-purpose flour
2 cups milk
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh parsley for garnish
Directions
Cook the Pasta:
Boil pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Prepare the Sauce:
In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Whisk in flour and cook for 1 minute. Gradually add milk, whisking constantly, until smooth and thickened. Stir in garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, and season with salt and pepper.
Mix It Together:
In a large bowl, combine pasta, cooked chicken, broccoli, and half of the cheddar cheese. Pour the sauce over the mixture and stir to combine.
Assemble the Bake:
Transfer the mixture to a greased 9×13 baking dish. Sprinkle remaining cheddar and mozzarella cheese evenly on top.
Bake to Perfection:
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake uncovered for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
Serve:
Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm for a hearty, cheesy meal!
