1 box vanilla cake mix
1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup sugar
1 (21 oz) can strawberry pie filling
1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup heavy cream
1/4 cup powdered sugar
Fresh strawberries for garnish (optional)
Directions:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
In a medium bowl, beat together the cream cheese and sugar until smooth and creamy. Spread this mixture evenly in the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
Pour the strawberry pie filling over the cream cheese mixture, spreading it out evenly.
Sprinkle the vanilla cake mix evenly over the top, ensuring it covers the entire surface.
Drizzle the melted butter over the top of the cake mix, ensuring all of it is covered.
Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the top is golden and the cake is bubbly around the edges.
While the cake is cooling, whip the heavy cream with the powdered sugar until stiff peaks form. Once the cake has cooled, serve with a dollop of whipped cream
and fresh strawberries on top.
