Cube Steak with Balsamic Onion Gravy

Ingredients

4 cube steaks
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 large onion (sliced)
3 cloves garlic (minced)
1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
2 cups beef broth
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon dried thyme
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh rosemary (for garnish)
Directions

Season the cube steaks with salt and pepper.
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Sear the steaks for 3-4 minutes per side until browned. Remove and set aside.
Add sliced onions to the skillet and cook for 5-7 minutes until caramelized.
Stir in garlic and cook for 1 minute.
Pour in balsamic vinegar, scraping the pan to deglaze.
Whisk flour into the beef broth, then add to the skillet along with Worcestershire sauce and thyme.
Simmer for 5 minutes until the gravy thickens.
Return the steaks to the skillet and cook for another 5 minutes, spooning gravy over the steaks.
Garnish with fresh rosemary and serve hot.
