Baked Brie with Caramelized Apples & Pecans
Ingredients
1 (8 oz) wheel of brie cheese
1 tbsp unsalted butter
1 medium apple, thinly sliced (e.g., Honeycrisp or Gala)
2 tbsp brown sugar
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 cup pecans, toasted
2 tbsp maple syrup or honey
Crackers or sliced baguette for serving
Directions
Preheat & Prep Brie: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Place the brie on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Caramelize Apples: In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add apple slices, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until apples are tender and caramelized.
Bake the Brie: Bake the brie in the oven for 8-10 minutes, until soft and gooey but not melted.
Top with Apples & Pecans: Remove brie from the oven and transfer to a serving plate. Spoon the caramelized apples over the top, sprinkle with toasted pecans, and drizzle with maple syrup or honey.
Serve & Enjoy: Serve warm with crackers or baguette slices.
